A lot of people can follow a diet for a few weeks, or even a few months, but changing your diet for the long term is hard.  Dr. Link's program can make it easier, combining the best of conventional and alternative nutrition, and emphasizing the behavioral aspects of dietary change.   The program focuses on the use of diet as a key method to improve your health; other lifestyle changes and supplements are also considered.  The goal is to help you feel better and decrease your use of medications.

In your first meeting, Dr. Link will:
  • Review your medical history, recent blood tests, and current diet.
  • Perform a physical exam focused on your health issues.
  • Do a nutritional analysis of your current diet.
  • Assess the behavioral approach to dietary change best suited for you.
  • Develop a plan, with you, for improving your diet and health.
  • Recommend relevant blood tests.
  • Inform your primary doctor of your dietary plan.

During follow-up meetings, she will:
  • Reevaluate your dietary plan and any changes in your physical health.
  • Assess how to help you adhere more easily and maximally improve your health.
  • She and your primary doctor will determine if medications, such as blood pressure or diabetes meds, need to be adjusted.
